Musical Arrangements
Musical Arrangements are the soul of any album. An arranger interprets the song, sets it to harmony, and structures the various parts of the song. He plans the instrumentation of the song and writes music for every instrumentalist that will play. The decisions that are made in the arrangement cannot be altered later by any amount of editing.
With years of experience in musical arrangement across many genres, Gavriel Saks brings expertise, creativity and unique passion to every project. He has become a well-respected Arranger/Pianist for Jewish Music producers including: Rabbi Baruch Chait, Gershon Veroba, Yerachmiel Ziegler and many more. He can arrange music in the traditional sense of creating sheet music for each musician, but he also goes far beyond that--using computers and synthesizers, he creates full music tracks for songs that sound as close to a real band as possible with today's technology. So even if your budget does not allow for hiring a full band, you can have an album that will sound amazing.

here are some sample arrangements done for previous clients:
Here is a "before and after" example for a relatively low-budget project. This was an album done by Azamra Music for the Amshinov chassidim, the first album they have put out, and it features first-time releases of very old Chassidic songs. The album is called The Chassidic Songs of Vurka and Amshinov.
Listen first to the "before" examples--these were the files the client provided when requesting musical arrangement. Then listen to the finished version of the song.
These songs were done completely on synthesizers: all song interpretation, musical arrangement, and instrumental performance was done by Gavriel Saks. For "Tantz," all that remained to be done after the arrangement was to record the vocals in a studio. For "Waltz," no additional expenditure was required, since it is an instrumental.

Here is another example of how good a relatively low-budget arrangement by Azamra can sound. This song was arranged and produced for Jewish Music legend Rabbi Baruch Chait. He is also the Rosh Yeshiva of Maarava in Israel, where they sing this song every week at the Thursday night "mishmar." The Yeshiva encourages musical development and actually has on campus a semi-professional studio, where Gavriel Saks produced this song. The vocals were done by Rabbi Chait and guys from the Yeshiva. The music is all synthesized except for some tracks done by Nir Motzeri, who added mandolin, bansuri flute and a little bit of violin. Enjoy!
This song was featured on an album called "World on its Side" by HaMakor. Composed and arranged by Gavriel Saks. Vocals by Nachman Solomon and Gavriel Saks. Piano and synthesizers by Gavriel Saks, guitar by Rebbesoul.
(The lyrics are Hebrew words taken from Psalm 13, interspersed with original English words that serve to interpret and loosely translate the text at various points.)
